Being best in the Red River Valley as voted by Forum readers is an honor for a salon that is continuously growing and striving for the best, said M.J. Capelli General Manager Sue Cote.

"I would say that we focus on our education, trying to be better than yesterday," Cote said.

Five M.J. Capelli locations dot the F-M area, with four salons in Fargo and one in Moorhead.
Cote learned of the "Best of" nod while on a trip to Santa Monica, Calif., where she and fellow salon trainers were learning about new cutting techniques.

"The continuing education that we do is far and above. There is always something that our staff can be learning," Cote said. "Who wouldn't want to wear the fop fashion? Well, hair is the same way."
